The True Story of Friday the 13th
Many people panic due to the superstitions that happen on Friday the 13th. Friday the13th happens when the 13th of the month falls on a Friday. People believe that they will have bad luck or even die on that day.
For example, the day's history began when King Philip IV of France arrested 60 of his secret soldiers for believing in a different religion in order to get their money on Friday the 13th. Also, Italians thought of Friday as an unlucky day and 13 as an unlucky number. People thought it was mysterious that on the 13th of Friday, Rossini, an Italian man, passed away.
The fear of the number 13 has been given a scientific name "triskaidekaphobia". To this, Friday the 13th is called paraskevidekatriaphobia. Many people believe in this superstition, but some don't.
