Bethany Hamilton: a Brave Surfer
Bethany Hamilton survived a bite from a shark and kept surfing. A shark bit Bethany's arm off!
She said about the attack, "It was so fast I didn't feel anything and when I saw my arm floating down to the ocean floor, I freaked out".
When she was heading towards shore, she was putting her arm out and yelling for help constantly. Bethany's friend Holt made a tourniquet out of his t-shirt, saving Bethany's life.
After, she went to the hospital and had an operation. They later caught the shark that they thought attacked Bethany.
Two years later, she went to Thailand and learned how to surf with one arm!
