Parkour is a new trend with old roots (via wfpf.com)

Have you ever watched the film Spiderman? The main character had cool powers. Did you know that there is a kind of sport that can let you become like Spiderman? It's called parkour.

Parkour is an activity that can be practiced alone or with others, and is usually but nor exclusively carried out in urban spaces. Parkour involves seeing one's environment in a new way. There is no doubt that parkour is a dangerous sport though.

In the beginning, parkour was not as famous and interesting as it is now. Parkour started in France after World War I. A French naval officer named Gedges Hebert created parkour after he had gone to Africa. He noted that their bodies were flexible, nimble, skillful, enduring and resistant and yet they had no other teacher in gymnastics than their lives in nature.
